Victory Grounds Ventures (VGV) is proud to have submitted a bid to be part of the League1 Ontario (L1O) ecosystem, the highest level of pro-am soccer in the province and a key pillar in Canada’s soccer development pathway.
L1O serves as the official stepping stone between grassroots soccer and the professional ranks, offering elite competition for top-tier Canadian talent and a direct route to professional clubs, universities, and national teams.
We have formally submitted our application to join League2 Ontario, the entry tier of the L1O pyramid, for the 2026 season. Our application is backed by strong community partnerships, dedicated training and matchday infrastructure, and a proven commitment to growing the game in underserved regions.
Both teams will operate out of a temporary home till the permanent one is built. The planned stadium will offer players a high-performance environment with year-round training and development support.
Pending final approval, we will launch two teams:
Player Development
L1O is a launchpad for future professionals and national team athletes. We’re creating a local platform for Eastern Ontario players to shine.
Pathway to Pro
Our long-term vision includes advancing to higher divisions and aligning closely with Canadian Premier League standards.
Community Pride
These teams will represent Kingston and the surrounding region at a provincial level, offering fans and families a new reason to cheer.
Gender Equity
From day one, we are committed to equal support and resourcing of both the men’s and women’s programs.
While League1 Ontario will be our first step on the pitch, it’s part of a much bigger vision. Our integrated soccer campus in Kingston will serve as a permanent home for L1O competition, player training, youth development, and a Canadian Premier League club.
We’re building a long-term soccer infrastructure from the ground up.
L1O is just the beginning.
