Kingston is the perfect home for high-level Canadian soccer.
With a growing population, a vibrant sports culture, and a strategic location between Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, Kingston is ready to take its place on the national stage. The city has a proud history, passionate fans, and a deep pool of untapped local talent.
We’re building on that foundation to create professional pathways, grow the game, and give Kingston something to rally behind, a team and a stadium the whole region can be proud of.
Over the past decade, the city has seen remarkable growth in both population and participation in organized sport. Between 2013 and 2023, youth soccer registration in the region grew by over 40%, reflecting a rising demand for elite development and more competitive opportunities, especially at the post-youth level.
At the same time, Kingston’s GDP has grown steadily, with the city ranked among Canada’s top mid-sized urban economies for resilience and quality of life. New housing, investments in education and healthcare, and a thriving innovation sector have strengthened the local foundation.
There’s still no top level professional sports team representing this vibrant city. That’s a missed opportunity we’re ready to change.
With a purpose-built stadium underway, League1 Ontario teams hopefully launching in 2026, and broad community backing, Kingston is now in a stronger position than ever to support a Canadian Premier League franchise.
